At the forfront there is the gypsy brass element, there are the various Serbian, Bosnian, Macedonian, Bulgarian, Romanian ethnic and folk elements, the traditional dances ? coceks and kolos ? in the case of Robert Soko there is a nostalgia tinted Yugoslav new wave element. There is a Turkish element. There are stray <br />hip hop beats, elements of house, dub and reggae, rai, bhangra and bollywood, in fact everything that is current on western dancefloors finds its way into Balkan Beats to some degree.
